Amelia Barnes is a freelance writer and the co-founder of Rented Space, a project that documents creatively-styled rental properties. Recognising the growing proportion of Australian renters, Rented Space explores how a temporary space, tight budget and strict tenancy agreement don’t have to be barriers to forming an inviting home.
Amelia is also a regular contributor to Domain and The Age reporting mainly on interior design, alternative housing solutions and the Melbourne real estate market.

Petrina Turner is a multi-passionate Designer. Stylist. Maker. Educator. Dreamer. Do-er. Petrina has a love of mid-century architecture and design, contemporary furniture and lighting, lush textiles, magical materials and a passion for the power of colour. Petrina’s inspiration is found travelling to far off places, and collaborating with local Australian designers and craftspeople.
Petrina Turner Design is a Melbourne based multi-disciplinary design practice offering over 20 years experience, and a personal approach to every project. The studio covers a broad range of design services including residential and commercial interiors, styling, plus product design and development.

Stephanie Stamatis of Stephanie Somebody
Stephanie Stamatis is the face behind Stephanie Somebody, a stylist and creative director. Beginning her design journey as an interior designer, Stephanie's search for beauty has lead her to a more personal form of story telling. Drawing inspiration from nostalgia and in the search for perfect imperfection, Stephanie lends her signature aesthetic to a variety of editorial and advertising clients working with brands such as Country Road, Kinfolk, Myer, The Guardian, Penguin Publishing and Women's Weekly and has appeared in publications locally and abroad such as Broadsheet Melbourne Food Guide, Real Living Magazine, House and Garden, Country Style and Yen Magazine.

Natalie Mortimer - ADR Editor
Natalie Mortimer is the editor of Australian Design Review, where she leads the coverage of architecture and design news online, as well as writing and curating features from Niche’s leading architecture and design print titles Mezzanine, Architectural Review and inside.
Natalie has a breadth of experience in digital and print having worked for various publications in the design, marketing and advertising fields over the past five years.
Originally from the UK she moved to Australia last year and is based in Melbourne.

Michael Artemenko of Figr Architecture
Michael Artemenko is a co-director of FIGR architecture which was established in 2014
Michael believes successful architecture and design is a unique response to its context, his deep passion of landscapes and the process of making creates a narrative which is always present in the work of the practice. Prior to FIGR, Michael gained extensive experience at various award-winning architectural practices on a broad range of projects including government, institutional and residential dwellings of varying scales and budgets. Testament to Michael’s commitment to the design industry is his ongoing involvement with RMIT as a design tutor - a role which Michael believes is fundamental to the creativity of architecture.

Mairead Murphy of Maike Studio
Mairead is the principal of design practice Mäike Design Studio. The studio strives to combines the two threads of Mairead's academic background - originally studying a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and recently completing a Masters in Architecture. Her work draws on previous experience of large scale design projects and broader creative interest in object design, spatial design and illustration. She believes that the best designs are a delight to experience. Each project’s unique requirements and aspirations are key to creating highly personal and inspiring spaces- framing the context and client within narrative design and honest materiality.

Alice Blackwood - InDesign Editor
Alice Blackwood is a qualified editor, journalist and communications expert, with a specialisation in design and creative industries. She is currently Editor of Indesign magazine with Indesign Media Asia Pacific, and a Communications and Content Strategy Consultant to select private clients.
As a passionate supporter of the local design industry, Alice focuses much of her reportage on the business of design, with a special focus on interior design and architecture through her work with Indesign Media. She contributes to major design publications and online platforms globally and is regularly involved in major industry events as a speaker, moderator, MC, and assessor.

Monique Woodward of Wowowa
WOWOWA Architecture is passionate about creating meaningful, contemporary, idea based civic spaces that are socially useful & publicly generous. Led by Monique Woodward, Andre Bonnice & Scott Woodward, WOWOWA was founded in 2011 and now has a team of nine designing from a shopfront in Rathdowne Street Carlton North. Teaching at RMIT & Monash University enables them to inspire others to see architecture should have a sense of humour, be deeply cultural and shape cities. Having been widely published both locally & Internationally, WOWOWA is now a Nightingale Housing Licensee, currently undertaking a development in Brunswick.

Melia Rayner is the Managing Editor of est living, one of Australia's leading architecture and design publications. She unites a digital marketing background and extensive writing experience for both commercial and editorial outcomes to her work with est, where she oversees both the daily content of estliving.com and the quarterly est magazine. Working primarily with the design, technology and cultural sectors, Melia has worked in-house or as a consultant with a broad range of organisations from start ups to ASX-listed businesses and multinational companies.

Tamsin O'Neill - Green Magazine Editor
Tamsin studied Fine Art at RMIT before working as an assistant to some of Melbourne’s best architectural photographers. She went on to work as a freelance architectural photographer for 10 years, contributing to a variety of architecture and design magazines.
In 2007 Tamsin along with husband and publisher, Tom Bodycomb, launched Green magazine, which is devoted to the best in local, sustainable design, architecture and landscape architecture. In 2011 together they launched Treadlie, a magazine focussed on bicycle design and culture. Tamsin is editor of both titles.

Anne-Claire Petre is the creator behind Melbourne-based furniture label, Anaca Studio.
Studies in industrial and furniture design took her from France to Scotland and to a design-making associateship at the Jamfactory in Adelaide. Along the way she developed her understanding of good design, materials and processes. Later, working for high end furniture houses and architecture and interior design studios in Melbourne gave her some valuable insight into the industry.
What lies behind her furniture brand is a passion for design principles, a belief that simplicity of forms and thoughtful details are essential to creating beautiful and lasting products.
